How Zoee Empowers Health Coaches to Launch Successful Businesses
IIN recently formed a partnership with Zoee, an easy-to-use software solution designed to empower coaches with its extensive array of tools for streamlined business management. We sat down with Zoee founder and CEO Nichole Lowe, an IIN graduate, for an in-depth conversation about why she launched this platform, what she hopes to achieve, and why it will be a game-changer for Health Coaches.

It all started with a near-death experience.
Not to Nichole Lowe, the founder and CEO of Zoee, but to her husband.
Prior to that harrowing incident, Lowe had been on an executive track at a Fortune 500 company. In a very high-powered position, she was the No. 1 salesperson at her company, in charge of the entire western U.S. It was a ton of travel, a ton of pressure, and a ton of stress.
And it all became secondary when she found out that her husband had coronary artery disease. He was 99 percent blocked in three main arteries to his heart, and was on the cusp of having a heart attack.
They discovered this after numerous visits with doctors, all of whom had told him he was perfectly fine. (Ultimately, an angiogram revealed the issue.)
The hospital decided that open-heart surgery was the best path forward, but one radical doctor, noting that he was young and healthy, instead opted to put six stents in and send him home with a non-negotiable prescription for massive lifestyle changes.
With her husband in the ICU, and a newfound appreciation of bio-individuality, Nichole decided she wanted to change course and pursue holistic health. That led her to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She traded in her power, her money, and her status for a more meaningful, more purposeful life.
“My family thought I was crazy,” she says. “I was making a ton of money. I was traveling all over the country. I had this great life, this great job on the outside, but I really wasn’t happy on the inside. IIN changed my life. It absolutely changed my life — and my husband’s.”
Why Nichole Launched Zoee (+ How It Empowers Coaches)
Nichole launched Zoee a year ago because she knew Health Coaches needed help. They needed assistance launching their business and getting it off the ground, and she knew how to do that.
Coaches would often come to her for support, knowing that she had an extensive business background, and she knew there was significant room for improvement and innovation. She repeatedly saw coaches fall victim to scams and lose money trying to build their business, and she knew she could step in and build a more efficient system.
“I really felt passionate about uplifting the coaches when they graduate,” she says, “and I said, ‘Look, do not get sucked into what other people are doing and what you think you have to do in business.’ Just remember that you are unique, you are beautiful, and you are here to serve your clients.”

Zoee empowers coaches not only with its technology, but also with the incredible community that they become part of.
When coaches graduate, it can very overwhelming and scary, because there’s very little knowledge, opportunity, and tools that bridge the gap between graduation and building a successful business.
When you sign up for Zoee, you can get your business up in a day. You won’t be overwhelmed by the technology, Nichole says, giving you the freedom to focus on what’s really important (like focusing on your why, how you’re going to market yourself, your niche, and finding clients).
The difference between Zoee and other platforms, Nichole says, is that it thinks like a coach, like a human connecting with other humans. On other platforms, everything is built in silos — billing, scheduling, CRM — and then you have to hack it all together and streamline it. Zoee, on the other hand, operates from an all-in-one global perspective.
When a client signs up for Zoee, it acts like a calculator, calculating all the hours, cancellations, billing, reschedules, video sessions, and everything else that comes up during a normal workday.
“We’re taking 60 to 70 percent of coaches’ time on admin and business and we’re dropping it down to 10 percent,” Nichole says. “That’s where the big empowerment happens — the time savings and the cost savings.”
Pain Points That Health Coaches Face (+ How Zoee Solves Them)
In speaking and working with countless Health Coaches over the years, Nichole has seen firsthand the pain points that they face when they’re looking to get their business up and running.
The first one is the constant noise. There’s so much misinformation out there, Nichole says, and Googling can lead coaches down unhelpful rabbit holes that lead to massive amounts of stress and costly mistakes.
Another major pain point is accountability. It can be challenging to find a community of coaches with intentionality; not just networking, but finding an accountability tribe where you can build great businesses together.

The third significant pain point that Nichole has witnessed is a lack of confidence.
“I think every coach I’ve ever met has a heart of gold,” Nichole says, “and then when we realize there’s a business side to this, it becomes pretty overwhelming. And we get into imposter syndrome.”
Nichole built Zoee to specifically address — and solve — these pain points.
One of the main goals is to provide community and connection over competition. Zoee does this by providing intentional webinars where people talk to each other and have the opportunity to make powerful connections. There’s also a coach directory within the platform where coaches are encouraged to reach out to each other and do peer coaching.
Zoee is also launching a referral program where coaches will be able to refer clients to each other.
And then there’s the business blueprint, in partnership with IIN, that Nichole believes will have a tremendous, lasting impact on coaches.
“[It will have] that IIN spirit of learning how to deal with imposter syndrome, understanding bio-individuality, empowerment, self-discovery,” she says. “And having that be part of the business process will be an absolute game-changer.”
