Q: What inspired you to enroll at IIN?
A: My soul has always whispered to me about the importance of holistic health. When I naturally reversed my thyroid autoimmunity without any Western Intervention, I knew it was time to share this with the masses.
Q: How are you using your Health Coach Training Program education?
A: By teaching others the power of themselves. Aside from hosting a podcast about the importance of spirituality, I’m also an astrologer, and I frequently use someone’s birth chart to teach them or forewarn them about any potential health issues and how they can heal them.
Q: How did your understanding of spirituality expand upon taking the program?
A: HUGELY! I credit my education at IIN 100% with expanding my career into spirituality. As I met with clients, I began to realize that everyone knew how to eat healthy, everyone knew exercise was good for them; but why weren't they doing it? This led me to the emotional realm of people's health ‒ which, when dived into even deeper, revealed the need to nourish their spirit.
Q: How are you living a life you love? How did the program help you achieve this?
A: Working for myself! Making my own schedule! Not being tied down to anyone or anything! I’m currently living in a motor home and traveling the country. IIN taught me how to be my own boss, but it also taught me that the sky’s the limit and there are so many like-minded people out there, just waiting to network.
Q: Health is not a destination; it's an evolution and a journey. How does this resonate with you?
A: To the nth degree! IIN made my ego flexible! I used to think being vegan was the best diet. Then Paleo. I’ve finally arrived at intuitive eating. As my body ages, especially, I have to be flexible with what it needs.
Q: If you could tell your pre-IIN self one thing, what would it be?
A: Stop worrying about the cost. It will pay itself off – tenfold – in no time!
Q: What’s your morning routine?
A: Kiss my dog and tell him how lucky we are to spend another day together. Kiss my partner and laugh in bed. Discuss our dream symbolism. Make sure I look outside before I ever look at my phone. Lemon water, aloe, or celery juice. Light walk. THEN computer/work time!
Q: What music do you play to get out of a funk?
A: Hip Hop! Check out my Lightworkers Lounge “Raise the Vibe” playlist on Spotify.
Q: What’s your favorite on-the-go snack?
A: Applesauce. Avocado. Jerky sticks. Anything from Simple Mills!
Q: Did IIN help you find a way of eating that works for you? If so, tell us more about that journey.
A: YES! My ego was triggered by IIN, in a good way! I love how the program challenges each dietary style by sharing its pros and cons. The speakers and teachers made such good cases for all the diets that by the end of learning about all of them, I had no idea which one was the best ‒ which is the best part of the program; no one diet is for anyone. Intuitive eating is the way to go. If my body wants to be vegan, I oblige. If it’s craving meat and eggs, I’ll source very carefully and oblige.
I recently got diagnosed with adrenal fatigue after a stressful chapter of life paired with a strict vegan diet, and a high-sodium Paleo diet eased the symptoms. Talk about a change! Now I eat intuitively with my menstrual cycle, which typically looks like vegan during the follicular phase and Paleo during the luteal.
Q: How do you nourish yourself beyond your plate, with primary food?
A: Relationships ‒ both romantic and friendly. A good daily self-care routine. Reparenting myself with screen time. NATURE. Taking a break when I least want to but most need to!
Q: What's one thing you can't run your business without?
A: The love of my life, Jordan. He shows my lack mindset that anything is possible. He shows me that my wildest dreams can easily be reality. He sees my magic when I cannot. He’s met every one of my ideas with an enthusiastic “Let’s do it!” even when they were silly. He protects my brand when I can’t. I simply couldn't do my work without him.
Q: We’re calling our IIN graduates and community members Well BeIINgs. How do you embody well-being?
A: Being well. Being well with my friendships, making them a priority when it’s hard to, as an adult. Being well with my partner, openly communicating and tapping into life when he needs to tap out. Being well with my family, setting healthy boundaries to protect my energy. Being well with my diet, understanding that it’s not so much the food you eat but the way you feel when you eat it. Being well with myself, knowing that no matter the state of any of the above, I myself am whole and complete. I always believe in good things coming.
