What were you doing prior to enrolling at Integrative Nutrition?
When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 30 years old in December 2018, I knew life-altering changes were ahead. Quickly, I became fascinated with the natural healing process of the body – learning and absorbing all things health and wellness to reclaim my health.
Before enrolling at IIN, I worked for ten years as a recruitment specialist and client services manager for a busy Canadian travel nursing company. Our workplace was typically a high-stress environment, working long hours to help staff hospitals and clinics across the country. Many times throughout the program, I recognized that my job was costing me my health.
How did your life change after enrolling?
In March 2021, six months into the health coaching program, I decided to walk away from my corporate job and steady paycheck so I could turn my passion into my purpose by helping educate others on how to regain control of their health and vitality. I believe leading by example can help shed light on those who need it. It’s incredible watching the ripple effect take place when we all tune in to our healing powers.
I knew deep down that I was no longer feeling fulfilled in my current role and wanted to pursue a career that would align with my values and allow me to use the skills I had gained through my own life experiences along with what I was learning at IIN to make an impact. I had a strong calling to be of service and help others understand the body's innate ability to heal when given the opportunity. This is how Grounded in Health came to fruition.

The program helped me have a job that’s aligned with me and my values, and I want to help others do the same. I think that we need to be healthy to be fully aligned with ourselves.
