What were you doing prior to enrolling at Integrative Nutrition?
I was filming the human animal conflict with the Samburu tribe in northern Kenya. I was starting to build an off-grid eco-retreat, a space for people to reconnect with themselves and their health.
How did your life change after enrolling?
My gorgeous mum was diagnosed with cancer during the course and passed away just before I graduated. I was her primary caregiver, which intensified everything IIN was teaching. I am so focused on sharing now. I studied neuroscience at university, so looping back into the depths of science through a more holistic lens was incredible. Research on stress and its ripple effect – primary food – was a revelation!

What were you doing prior to enrolling at Integrative Nutrition?
I was a community health worker.
How did your life change after enrolling?
I am a diabetes coordinator for The Mohegan Tribe in Uncasville, Connecticut. After many years of repeating the same programs, I decided I wanted to take our nutrition and diabetes education programs to the next level and offer holistic health coaching. I am teaching our members the Circle of Life and that all aspects of their lives are just as important as the food they put in their body. I believe our tribal members of all ages could benefit from a holistic approach. I am able to offer a more holistic approach to my members now and not just weight-loss programs!
