Success as a Health Coach is due, in large part, to the ability to separate yourself from others in the field and establish your expertise. And we’ve created another way for you to do just that.
Those who have graduated from both the Health Coach Training Program and the Coaching Intensive Practicum will now earn the distinguished title of IIN Certified Professional Health Coach. Additionally, they'll receive an accompanying digital certification and badge that can be shared on their social media profiles, websites, digital resumes, smartphone wallets, and email signatures.
This certification exemplifies graduates’ commitment to adhering to the highest professional standards, and recognizes that they possess extensive knowledge, practical experience, and the confidence to excel as a Health Coach in a variety of settings.
In this advanced online course, you’ll gain deeper insights into the health coaching profession, including scope of practice and coaching competencies. You will practice and refine your coaching skills, receive real-time feedback from coaching mentors, and prepare to take the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) board-certifying exam. If you haven’t taken the Health Coach Training Program yet, you can bundle the two courses together and save with the Health Coach Board Certification Training.
Digital credentials have emerged as powerful visual tools for both job advancement and verification. According to research from Accredible, "96% of those who received digital credentials consider them to be valuable for their careers, and 78% believe they increase their chances of getting a job offer."
“They’re a modern element of learning and development with the in-depth verifications that a paper certification cannot provide,” says Brian LaDuca, the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Earlham College.
Graduates of the Health Coach Training Program and the Coaching Intensive Practicum are now permitted to represent themselves as “certified.” Previously, we were stricter in the use of this language. As the health coaching landscape changes, and as IIN evolves along with it, we are proud to be able to offer this distinction. To become board certified, however, one must still apply for and pass the NBHWC board-certification exam.
This certificate is awarded to those who completed the Health Coach Training Program and the Coaching Intensive Practicum course version that meets the current NBHWC approval standards, which went into effect after October of 2020. This certification acknowledges that graduates’ coursework aligns with the updated NBHWC standards. The version of the course prior to October 2020 had fewer clock hours and graduation requirements, and does not meet the current NBHWC application standards.
Upon completion of the Coaching Intensive Practicum, you will receive an email from Accredible, our credentialing platform. It will contain your new certificate and badge at no additional cost (and no action required on your part.)
