We’re on a mission to improve health and happiness throughout the entire world and we love to hear about students who are sharing what they’ve learned with international communities.
Nicole Fox, a 2011 graduate from Doral, Florida and a member of the South Florida Health Coaches, is a bilingual Health Coach who is using her ability to speak fluent Spanish to its full potential. She identified a need for health coaching within the Spanish-speaking community and is bringing all she learned in the Health Coach Training Program to people who otherwise may never have found guidance for their health struggles. From cooking classes to corporate lectures – and even a segment on a national TV show – here is someone who is truly spreading the ripple effect!
What did you learn at Integrative Nutrition?
I learned the importance of primary food and of bio-individuality. I loved the community, spirit, love and support throughout the program.
You were a stay-at-home mom before enrolling. What are you up to these days?
Many things! I do one-on-one coaching, as well as group programs, and corporate and school lectures. I teach raw food cooking classes, and contribute to two national TV shows in Spanish. I'm an ambassador for Genesis Today and an affiliate for Vita Mix, and I write for a newspaper in town. I’m also currently doing seminars for Derma Swiss, an International Cosmetic company, teaching their employees that beauty starts first from the inside.
How has your ability to help others that speak Spanish opened new doors for you? Would you recommend other Health Coaches incorporate a second language into their business if it's possible?
It has opened doors for me because a lot of people here in South Florida don’t speak English, and they need help with their nutrition. I do recommend others incorporate another language if they feel comfortable like I do. There is a huge need for Health Coaches who speak Spanish.
What are you currently working on now that you use Spanish in regularly?
I have bilingual health coaching clients, and I write for a bilingual newspaper. The TV shows I work on are in Spanish, and I use both English and Spanish in my work with Derma Swiss.
How has studying with an International Health Coach Training Program been beneficial for you?
The international aspect has been beneficial for me since we can run a business from any part of the world - that’s the beauty of our job. Health is a universal language. I have reached so many people through my newsletter. There is a woman who lives in Paraguay who read my newsletter, which was forwarded to her by a friend. She loved what I did, and she is now enrolled at IIN!
