A note from Joshua Rosenthal:
Today I’m excited to introduce you to a graduate I admire greatly, Evie Archer. She combines her passions of music and nutrition to live her dream life. And you can too!
What made you choose IIN?
When I enrolled, I was looking for a new life path. I loved music and was writing songs, but hadn’t yet found the courage to pursue that passion professionally.
Luckily, I had other passions: nutrition and helping others! I came to IIN looking to transform my own health and start a new career as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. My time at IIN was unlike any experience before or since, and I’m so grateful to have gone through the program with Joshua as my teacher!
When did your passion for music start, and how?
I was born with music in me; I asked for piano lessons at the age of two. My parents found a teacher who would work with a toddler, and I’ve never stopped playing since! When Joshua talks about primary food, I think about music!
What was your biggest breakthrough while at the school?
I realized that eating can be a joyful experience. Part of my food history involved restriction and dieting, and Joshua’s teachings helped me relax around the subject of nutrition.
In what ways is music primary food for you?
Music absolutely feeds and nourishes me – it’s my primary food. I find myself going to the keyboard to write, play, and sing when I’m feeling depleted. Music fills me in a way food can’t.
What’s next for you?
These are exciting times for me! I’ve found courage to pursue music professionally, and my new single, “Love Heals,” has gone to Adult Contemporary radio, tying for the #4 spot as most added on the charts this week!
I’ll be releasing my second album, “Chocolate & Whiskey” (how decadent – but the chocolate is raw!) this summer, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds! I want to thank my fans for being so loving and supportive, and Joshua and IIN for giving me the strength, knowledge, and courage to pursue all of my passions!
