A note from Joshua Rosenthal:
Meet Melissa Setubal, an IIN graduate in Brazil who’s using food to teach women to love their bodies and their lives. IIN changed her life, and I am so proud of what she’s doing to spread the ripple effect.
Tell us about your life before you began IIN.
Before IIN, I was in Brazil in the darkest time of my life. I was severely sick, physically and mentally, and I had the lowest self-esteem of my life. Plus, I was very unhappy at my job.
What brought you to Integrative Nutrition?
A few months later, I was in NYC looking for answers, and I was invited to watch an IIN class. Right there, looking at 1000+ people learning from Dr. Andrew Weil, I knew that this would be life-changing. I immediately enrolled, thinking I was there only to change my own health.
What happened from there?
Today, not only is my health better than I could’ve ever imagined, but I also have a whole new career doing what I love. As a Health Coach in Brazil, I support women who struggle with body image to love themselves using food and emotions as their best friends.
By helping women in Brazil and around the world, I found out that investing in myself, as I did when I enrolled at IIN, was the smartest and most loving thing I could do.
How would you describe your experience with Integrative Nutrition?
I had experiences I never knew were possible until IIN, like becoming my own boss and exploring new passions I had never considered as a job. Before IIN, I never knew that simply learning to pay attention to the food on my plate could be such a powerful, transformative tool.
