If you’ve ever known someone who struggles with losing weight, you know the frustration they experience when nothing seems to work. They cycle through diets, workout plans, and slimming supplements, looking for the magic formula.
New Integrative Nutrition visiting teacher and holistic healer Dr. Libby Weaver has worked with hundreds of women struggling to lose weight, and though her work, she has found a few missing pieces that help solve the weight loss puzzle. As she writes in her book, Accidently Overweight, hormones, stress, emotions, and other factors are what frequently cause difficulty in losing weight.
Dr. Libby Weaver will be offering some of her wisdom on a special live session for prospective students on Monday, November 26 at 4pm ET. During the session, Dr. Libby will give tips on how to live in a holistically healthy manner that combines physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This session will also offer a peek into what it’s like to be a student at Integrative Nutrition.
As she explains, some of the reasons why weight has become such a big problem is because of the way we live – eating on the run, exposure to chemicals that mimic hormones, living with constant low-level stress, lack of adequate sleep, and underlying, unaddressed emotions.
This combination of environmental, emotional, and physiological factors are what throw off hormonal balances, and this can cause physiological responses such as adrenal fatigue, underactive thyroid, digestive issues, and a host of other modern afflictions.
Fortunately, there are more and more options to solving your health issues. Working with a Health Coach is one of the easiest ways to start. They can help you figure out how to eat right for your unique body, and how to add primary food in a way that works for your life.
