UK Student Leaves Financial Field to Pursue Her Passions
We recently caught up with Jennifer Moore, a current student of our Healthy Coach Training Program. Jennifer is based out of the United Kingdom, and decided to quit her job in the financial field to pursue her passion of health and nutrition. She has made some amazing changes to her life; check out her Health Coaching Practice and keep reading to see what Jennifer has to say about her Integrative Nutrition experience!
What were you doing before Integrative Nutrition? I was working in a private bank in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK doing marketing and event planning for the branch. I was also teaching yoga in the evenings and weekends.
What led you to explore Integrative Nutrition's program? I kept coming across people in the media and would think I want to do what they are doing! So I would Google them and they were Integrative Nutrition, (IIN) graduates. So I decided to take the steps to get me to where I wanted to be and signed up for IIN!
"I have been able to pursue my dreams and study with IIN from the UK due to the convenient long distance learning format. The flexibility of the program allowed me to study while working as well."
What happened since you enrolled in Integrative Nutrition's program? Since starting IIN in January, I have left my job in the finance industry to attend culinary school at the Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC for 6 months, leaving my fiancé behind in the UK, so I could follow my dreams. I also ran the London marathon in April. It was my first marathon and my IIN lectures kept me focused through my grueling training and on the day of the race.
What did you learn at Integrative Nutrition? I learned to look at everyone as an individual and to apply the concept of bio-individuality, rather than having a dogmatic approach towards food and nutrition, which often happens when we find a way that works personally.
What do you love about the school? I love that the school presents a huge variety of dietary theories without any judgment and presents both sides of the story for you to decide which is right for you. I also love the variety of speakers and topics. It’s not just about the food we eat (secondary food) but the information on primary food that is provided is crucial in living a healthy, balanced life and I think this is what really sets IIN apart as a holistic program.
How has studying with an international Health Coach Training Program benefited you? I have been able to pursue my dreams and study with IIN from the UK due to the convenient long distance learning format. The flexibility of the program allowed me to study while working as well. It’s amazing to be part of this global ripple effect!
Is there a need for Health Coaches in your area of the world? I think wherever there are people eating, working and living, there is a need for Health Coaches. We are all dealing with similar issues all over the world due to modern life.
