June 2008 Issue

My father has a bumper sticker on his car that says, “This is your life, not a dress rehearsal.” I love this idea. Take on your dreams. Don’t wait for next month or when you lose 20 pounds or for the kids to be older, start now.

This month 1,200 health counselors will graduate from our program. How exciting is that? These vibrant, happy people are all on a mission to share health and happiness with people around the country and the world.

It’s been an incredible year! I am continually amazed by our students. Here are a few of our amazing soon to be graduates:

Karin Yapalater is an author and producer. She is developing a wellbeing series for PBS aimed to support middle and high school students. She also started a non-profit organization, Good Company NY, to teach kids about wellness in the New York school system.

Amy de Shweinitz travels from Germany and has 10 clients.

Bobby Kleinau is the membership consultant for Boston Sports Club. He’s working on getting health counselors in all 160 gyms affiliated with Town Sports International, the corporation that runs Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington Sports Clubs.

We are also on the road this month. The Integrative Nutrition Road Show is a time to get together, connect and learn about our work. Please take this rare opportunity to attend one of our events. We invite you to spread the word.

See you on the road!
